On May 8th of 2023, SPARK, SREC's new incubation and innovation facility, was inaugurated with great fanfare. The event was hosted at the college auditorium, which brought together a diverse group of esteemed guests, faculty members, students, and industry leaders. The air was electric with excitement as everyone eagerly anticipated the unveiling of the state-of-the-art facility that would shape the future of innovation and technology.

Dr. N.R. Alamelu, the principal of SREC, commenced the event with a warm welcome speech, emphasising the institution's outstanding accomplishments and innovative initiatives. 

Shri. D. Lakshminarayanaswamy, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, addressed the speech, and he reflected on the past excellence of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College and the realisation that there are still many outstanding accomplishments yet to be achieved. He showed his gratitude for the momentous achievement of establishing SPARK.

Dr. Jairam Varadaraj, Managing Director of ELGI Equipments Limited, the day's chief guest, shared valuable insights that can enhance different aspects of a student's life. He stressed the importance of viewing ourselves as the standard and the advantages of possessing positive self-worth.
